Basil Spence is a Pacemaker
Lovely 1965 documentary from a series called The Pacemakers looking at Basil Spence, that most unlikely modernist. Great watching him sketch, as dandyish and romantic as you might imagine, and also good hearing him talk about his great triumphs – Coventry Cathedral, Sussex University, and Hyde Park Barracks, then still under construction and now under threat.
